Jasmin Alic: LinkedIn now shows post-specific profile views
Jasmin shared that LinkedIn now tells you who viewed your profile from a specific post—not just video but any post type (Premium feature).
Why this matters:
You can now identify exactly which posts are driving interest
It changes your outreach game—follow up with people who engaged
Makes post-to-profile DMing more relevant and timely if you want to reach managers.
To see it:
Click the impressions count under a post
Scroll down to see profile views from that post
Use it to tailor your follow-up messages
If you haven’t used the LinkedIn premium feature, it’s worth trying a one-month free trial (they always seem to be offering it to me).
Attended: LinkedIn Talent Connect (and yes, I called the matching feature in December)
On Tuesday, I attended Europe’s LinkedIn Talent Connect event, and they confirmed what we’ve been predicting for months:
✅ Job match scores are coming
✅ AI-powered search is being rolled out
I’ve uploaded a few photos from the event to show how this works in practice.
Why this matters:
More transparency for job seekers
Better filtering so you know if you're a match
Less time wasted applying to ghost jobs
I flagged this shift in December. It’s happening now—and fast.

Emily Worden: how to message recruiters properly
A practical guide to connecting with recruiters without sounding like spam.
Tips that work:
Search job title + “recruiter” on LinkedIn
Use filters to refine your search by company or location
Click “More” > “Connect” if the Follow button shows
What to include in your message:
Your resume
Preferred job titles and locations
Bullet point achievements (keep it short)
Skills + contact info + Calendly link
Mention the job ID if relevant
Jan Tegze: AI prompt to research any company
If you don’t research companies before interviews, hiring managers will notice. Jan shares a ChatGPT prompt that delivers everything you need in one go.
What it pulls:
Company mission, culture, products
Funding rounds or financial performance
Recent news or leadership updates
Insights from Glassdoor and employee reviews
Just drop in the company name, and you're good to go. Check out Jan’s new book - How to talk to AI.
Visual of the week
Ashby (via Benjamin Encz) shared that over 4.8M applications show a clear trend:
From an average of 5.4 questions per application in 2021 to 10.1 in 2024.
Why?
More applicants per job = more filters
AI-generated applications = more screening upfront
Companies are asking for more from you early on
What to do:
Expect longer applications
Don’t treat them like forms—write with intent
Use this as a signal of hiring seriousness
Hiring teams are asking twice as many questions per application as they did 3 years ago.
Consider this as you apply—generic answers won't cut it anymore.
Notion job tracker reminder
The Notion Job Tracker is live and ready to use.
It helps you:
